This is a screen capture of a scene from an animation I am currently working on called GBCity. It uses pixel art graphics and I chose a colour pallet which represents the colour set of the original Nintendo GameBoy.
Edit - You can view the finished animation here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6O4ggc33QI
This is a short introductory motion graphics sequence which I will be using on my WhatPixelYouOn YouTube channel in the near future. The art was made using Adobe Illustrator and I imported it into Apple’s Motion 5 to create the final sequence. I created the audio using Garage Band ‘09.
I’m currently considering using it as an ending animation, rather than an intro - I was sure to keep the duration to a minimum as introductions which last up to 30 seconds can get a bit repetitive and tedious to watch.
For this illustration I used a common abstract style seen in a lot of vector work, but made sure not to over complicate the image. I used a photo of a classic car which I shot myself, it was removed from the original photo with the eraser tool simply because Photoshop Elements does not have access to the pen tool, otherwise I’d have masked it off using that technique instead. To complete the image, I decided to remove the characters from the licence plate.
This is a T-shirt design which I came up with just after my graduation. The design is purely vector and ready for print as outlines have been created and CMYK colours were used, however this version was saved using RGB to display online. The final design used only 4 colours which will save money when it comes to printing.
A quick illustration based off a random suggestion from a friend.
This is purely a vector based illustration I designed as an example of effective visual communication for a fictional coffee shop.
This is an illustration I made as part of the promotion material for a game project which I was a part of. The graphic is not finished as I turned my focus to helping with the creation of 3D models as at the time that was more important.
This is a vector illustration work in progress which I am currently finishing off. I am taking inspiration from children’s storybooks to create an illustration which portrays both innocence and evil.
This is a 2.5D motion graphics sequence I made in a pixel art style. The audio featured in this animation is under the creative commons license, and composed by Mister Electric Demon.
This is another Pixel Art animation which I made, this time it was designed to the specification of Bandito Records, who are using it to promote their track: Light Years.
